Guess who's going to Italy? Not us... but MEAT is!
We're very happy to be an Official Selection of the River Film Festival in Padua, Italy.
The festival runs from 28 May – 10 June and is (quite literally) on the river! Films are projected onto a screen that sits on a raft moored in the middle of the 16th century fluvial port used for trade between Padua and Venice at the city gate of Porta Portello.
We celebrated the New South Wales premiere of MEAT at Flickerfest on Monday night to a very receptive audience under the stars at Bondi Beach. I also had the privilege of introducing the film beforehand which MEAT stills photographer Stephen Godfrey, ever on the job, kindly captured.
A massive thank you to the many cast, crew, friends and friends of friends who came out to watch. It felt so special sharing our film with you at such a wonderful film festival. And many thanks to Flickerfest for having us!
I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that MEAT is an official selection of the Academy Award® accredited 25th Flickerfest International Short Film Festival!
We can't wait to celebrate our New South Wales premiere and share the film with all our Sydney based cast, crew, family, friends and supporters, without whom MEAT would not have been possible.

MEAT is heading south to Launceston as an official selection of the Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival in November.
We're particularly excited that we'll be screening before Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winning documentary, THE WOLFPACK!
It's a big week for MEAT!
This Friday MEAT will screen on both sides of the globe, playing at the Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival in Launceston, Australia, and the BAFTA recognised Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York, United Kingdom. MEAT will also screen on Saturday and Sunday in York.
Producer Lauren Eisinger and I will be attending BOFA in Launceston.
